ABRYD was founded after a group of three friends realised they could turn their passion for trekking to the benefit of the most disadvantaged people. After a couple of treks organised with friends to raise funds for charities, we decided to start our own in 2017 with the goal of offering every child in rural Morocco the opportunity to learn and continue their education.
Our engagement and motivation is driven by the following quote: “what we are trying to do may be just a drop in the ocean but the ocean will be less because of that missing drop”.
Our mission is simple: improving children lives, one trek at a time. It is in rural areas where children are most disadvantaged with the lack of infrastructure and funding often leading to high school dropout rates.
We imagine a world where every child is given the means and support to achieve his full potential. We aim to solve this issue collaboratively with rural entrepreneurs and governmental authorities to help renovate and fund boarding houses in the poorest regions of Morocco.
Trekking with us gives you the opportunity to discover the hidden paths of Morocco while helping fight the one of the country’s most pressing social issue!
